Registration is Open for HippoCamp 2016: A Conference for Creative Nonfiction Writers
Dan, Viannah and Angie at the registration desk at HippoCamp 2015.
Like magic, our ticketing system went live, today, at 12 a.m. Before we could even get out our newsletter–heck, before we even woke up this morning–people have been jumping on to the conference website to register for HippoCamp 2016! We’re excited to officially announce that tickets are on sale.
Here are some details:
Early-bird rate: $359
(Dec. 1, 2015 and March 31, 2016; regular conference rate is $389)
Earliest Early Bird Special*
The first 16 people to register for HippoCamp 2016 will receive an extra $25 off the Early-Bird Rate ($334).
The first 50 (including the 16 earliest birds) will receive a free HippoCamp t-shirt, available for pick-up at conference.
*Why extra-extra early bird promotions? HippoCamp, produced by an independent literary magazine, is 100% reliant on registrations (and sponsors) for conference funding. Your early registration helps us tremendously.
Realizing that not only am I a writer, but I know what I want to do with my future. Before the conference I had a vague idea of what I wanted to do and how I wanted to do it. Now I know where I want to go, how to get there, and I've even met some people who are willing to help me get there. -- In response to the question: "What was the highlight of the conference for you?"
HippoCamp ’15 Attendee
From anonymous post-conference survey
The size and feeling of the conference meant I met a lot of people, didn't spend a lot of time hiding shyly in a corner, and felt like I got to be expert, colleague and learner at the same time. It was so easy to role-shift and benefit from each other's experience rather than all the information flowing in one direction.
