hippocamp 2015 editing workshop in action

A 2015 editing workshop with Allison Williams.

Choices. Choices. Choices.

The Collage Essay with Sarah Einstein? Self-Edit Like a Pro with Allison Williams? Storytelling for Creative Nonfiction Writers with Jim Breslin and Terry Heyman? Possibly an agent/editor pitch session with Laura Apperson, Nicole Frail, Veronica Park, or Eric Smith?

One of our favorite aspects of HippoCamp: A Conference for Creative Nonfiction Writers is that you can extend your conference experience by book-ending it with an intimate, intensive pre-conference workshop and a post-conference pitch session. Or adding on one or the other.

And, because we’re in the giving spirit (’tis the season!), we’re offering all paid, registered attendees the chance to win free entrance to the pre-conference workshop of their choice or to the post-conference agent/editor pitch session.

To enter:

  • All you need to do to enter this contest is register for HippoCamp by 11:59 p.m. Dec. 31, 2015. Jan. 3, 2016.
  • We’ll draw two winners, at random, on January 2, January 4, 2016! We’ll announce on social media, on the conference blog, and notify winners by email.
  • Winners will receive a personal, one-time-use, promo code to redeem their workshop/pitch session add-on.

Notes:

  • If you’ve already registered for the conference, you’re already in the running. Whew!
  • If you’ve already added on a workshop or pitch session, you will then be eligible to win the add-on for which you haven’t registered. (Example: if you’ve registered for a workshop, then you can attend the pitch session at no cost.)
  • Prizes are not transferable.
  • Only paid registrations are eligible.

Make the most for your 2016 conference experience and tack on some extra learning.

Good luck!

(Why are we hoping for early registrations? HippoCamp, produced by an independent literary magazine, is 100% reliant on registrations and sponsors for conference funding. Your early registration helps us tremendously with the up-front costs associated with our annual event.)
