So long as you have the passion, the will to write will never wavers! Take it from writer Angelica Recierdo, whose daily technical world blends with her appreciation for the written word.
Recierdo uses both in this year’s Lightning Round, with her session “Healing Through Storytelling: Crafting Narrative Medicine,” on using words to become a more empathetic healer in any practice or form. What we especially love about Recierdo’s involvement in the conference is this: she attended last year, and it inspired her to submit a proposal to speak this year.
What is your best advice for those attending a writing conference?
My best advice for writing conference attendees is to network and share writing with others! Take notes on good lines you hear and any programs and services you might want to check out! A lot is learned when heard from the grapevine.
Aside from speaking, what you are most looking forward to about being part of the HippoCamp?
I’m excited to see past attendees’ workshops and sessions! And Designing and Delivering a Writers’ Retreat for Fun and (a Little Bit of) Profit) sounds really fun.
What are you most looking forward to about visiting Lancaster?
Lancaster had some great little shops and boutiques that I’m excited to browse around again! In particular, That Shuu Girl had some cool pieces for the hip writer to add to their wardrobe!
Different life paths and interests can still converge for writers interested in looking for professional and personal growth. At HippoCamp, choosing to attend is the first step in personal progress – register here.
