Below, you will find a quick overview of the HippoCamp schedule and format for 2016; this is subject to change, and speakers/sessions will be released in late 2015/early 2016.

Saturday is the heart of HippoCamp and the longest day. (That’s why we’re feeding you a hearty breakfast and lunch!) Aside from full-group sessions (meals, panels), there are breakout sessions — three to each time slot. On Sunday, the final day of the creative nonfiction conference, we come together as one group again; and the focus of the day is on engaging panels.

Throughout the conference enjoy:

What’s different than last year? More speakers. More sessions. More time.
In 2016, we’ve extended the programming by a few hours on Sunday; this makes time for two additional all-conference sessions, including a new feature: lightning round presentations. We’ve also extended some of the break-time between sessions to give more time for conversation and enjoying snacks. Also new this year is an opening keynote speaker and an optional agent/editor pitch session, which will be held after Sunday’s closing keynote.

Great panels, great speakers, great setting, great food. Excellent flow.  - in response to "What was the highlight of the conference for you?"
