allison-williamsAllison Williams is a freelance journalist, memoirist and editor. She has written about race, culture and comedy for NPR, CBC, The Christian Science Monitor and the New York Times. She received her MFA from Western Michigan and has studied with Stuart Dybek, Rick Moody, Dani Shapiro, and Dinty W. Moore. Her fiction has appeared in Crossed Genres, Smokelong Quarterly and Deep South; essays in The Drum and Brevity.

Williams is a two-time winner of The Moth StorySLAM, as well as earning the Mark Twain Humor Award and fellowships at Kenyon Writers Workshop, Atlantic Center for the Arts, and the Prague Program. Her forthcoming novel for young adults is I AM RUBBER I AM GLUE.
