Lisa Romeo is a nonfiction writer, teacher, editor, and consultant. Her work has appeared in dozens of literary and mainstream venues, including the New York Times, O The Oprah Magazine, Hippocampus Magazine, Under the Sun (nominated for Best American Essays), Word Riot, Barnstorm, Sport Literate, Full Grown People, and in a half-dozen essay anthologies.
She’s part of the founding faculty of Bay Path University’s MFA, and teaches at Montclair State University, and The Writers Circle. Lisa has presented at ASJA (American Society of Journalists and Authors); HippoCamp2015; BooksNJ; the Italian American Studies Association; NJ Women Who Write; and others. She is the creative nonfiction editor of Compose, and has received grants and scholarships from the Vermont Studio Center, ASJA, and others.
